Dr. Dimitris Dimitriou

Dr. Demetris Demetriou was born in Limassol, Cyprus in 1958. He is the son of Christopher Demetriou, a native of Paphos and Eleni Demetriou, from Limassol. He studied Medicine at the University of Lille in France in 1985 and continued his specialization in Urology and Andrology at the same university. He completed his specialty in 1991 and then, for a decade, practiced in University and Private Urology, with the responsibility of treating patients in Paris and Lille hospitals.

At the same time, clinical education was followed by training in Scientific Research, completing the cycle of Doctoral Surgery in Oncology.

He was Lecturer and then Assistant Professor at the University of Medicine Lille, creating the Medical Research Departments.

He was also a member of the National Science Foundation of France and was awarded at World Congresses for work on bladder and prostate cancer. Dr. Demetriou’s clinical expertise focused on Urological Oncology and Endourology. He is Fellow of the European Board of Urology and Member of International Urological Organizations. At the same time, with his medical studies, he obtained a postgraduate degree in Philosophy.Dr. Demetris Demetriou, highlighting the potential and value of technology in medicine, points out that the rapid growth of technology and in particular of robotic surgery is a major challenge for every surgeon, as it has solved many problems in the treatment and recovery of patients.
