Clinical Laboratory

The Hippocrateon Private Hospital collaborate with SYNLAB, the largest provider of clinical laboratory services in Europe.

Blood samples and specimens are obtained from experienced personnel in the clinical laboratory at our hospital and then sent to the SYNLAB main Clinical Laboratory, a fully equipped laboratory with state-of-the-art technologies. It is staffed by a microbiologist, biochemist, clinical laboratory technologists, administrative and operational staff. Their computer systems allow our doctors to get the results right away.

Our clinical laboratory offers the following tests:

• Blood tests
• Biochemical tests
• Immunological tests
• Hormonal tests
• Microbiological tests
• Genetic tests
• Molecular diagnostic tests

The clinical laboratory performs over 10,000 different tests and is accredited to ISO 1589: 2012 for approximately 200 tests, mainly microbiological tests. Its aim is to provide high quality and reliable services.

The opening hours of the clinical laboratory are:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 07:30-20:00 for results and until 19:15 for blood sampling.
• Saturday 07:30 -14: 00 for results and until 13:15 for blood sampling.

Our inpatients are served on a 24-hour basis as well as on weekends and public holidays.
