Robotic Surgery, which is the evolution of endoscopic surgery, is a modern, minimally invasive surgical method that is constantly gaining ground due to the advantages it offers to the patients, for example:

• Shorter hospital stays, faster recovery time and return to normal activities.
• Less time under anesthesia.
• Smaller surgical incision and better aesthetic effects.

The Hippocrateon Private Hospital is the first hospital in Cyprus that introduced and implemented robotic surgery since 2008 and, as a result, it has the largest number of successful robotic operations in Cyprus to date.

Our hospital has a fully-equipped operating room for all robotic surgeries, using the state-of-the-art Da Vinci Si HD robotic system, which enables our specialised and certified robotic surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures with improved precision and accuracy.

The robotic surgical system is being used in a wide range of surgeries, from Urology, Gynecology to General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery.

On 05/09/2018, the Hippocrateon Private Hospital was the first hospital in Cyprus to perform a robotic thoracic surgery for the removal of a pericardial cyst and on 13/12/2018 we performed the first robotic lobectomy for lung cancer.
